This spectacular 1958 Japanese movie poster for That Naughty Girl features Brigitte Bardot at the height of her emergence as one of the defining stars and fashion icons of European cinema.

Originally released in France as Cette sacrée gamine, the film was directed by Michel Boisrond and stars Bardot alongside Jean Bretonnière and Françoise Fabian. The Japanese release transformed the film’s promotional artwork into an exceptionally bold piece of mid-century graphic design.

Bardot dominates the composition in a fitted black outfit with a dramatic red belt, set against a pale blue Parisian background.
