The concert featured two performances at 8:00 and 10:30 p.m., with John Hammond Jr. and Soft Machine also appearing. Presented by the Pan Hellenic Association of Hunter College, tickets were originally advertised at just $3.50 and $4.50.

The artwork is a superb example of late-1960s psychedelic concert design. Jimi Hendrix, Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell are illustrated against a brilliant yellow circular background, while black, red and cream create an exceptionally bold Pop Art-inspired colour scheme.

Large flowing lettering announcing The Jimi Hendrix Experience dominates the upper section, while the original Hunter College ticket information survives across the bottom.
